in Gloucester, built around your body.

Why reformer

A smarter way to get strong.

Reformer Pilates uses a sliding carriage, springs and straps to add resistance and support to classic Pilates movement. The result is a low impact workout that builds long, strong muscles, improves flexibility and mobility, and leaves you standing taller.

    Strength without strain

Spring resistance on the reformer loads your muscles evenly through the full range of movement, so you build real core, glute and postural strength while staying kind to your joints.

  2. 02

    Precision you can feel

The carriage gives instant feedback. Every wobble tells you something, which is why reformer work improves balance, control and body awareness faster than most mat based training.

  3. 03

    Scales to any body

Adjust the springs and the same exercise becomes gentle rehab or a serious full body workout. Beginners, returning exercisers and athletes train side by side.

Reformer classes

Two classes.
Every level.

Every session is capped to a small group so your instructor can watch, cue and correct you throughout. Choose the level that fits you today, not where you think you should be.

Meet your instructor

Hi, I am Anna.

I founded Pilates Flow in Gloucester to give people a friendly, judgement free place to move well. After years of teaching mat and Trigger Point Pilates across Quedgeley and Kingsway, the reformer studio at Waterwells is the next chapter: the same warmth, with the precision and challenge only the reformer can offer.

Classes are small on purpose. I want to know your name, your goals and the niggles you are working around, and I want every person on a carriage to feel supported and seen.

It is not about being good at something. It is about being good to yourself.

Good to know

Before your first class.

  • Grip socks are mandatory

Sticky socks keep you safe on the carriage and keep the studio clean. Bring your own or buy a pair at the studio.

  • No jewellery on the reformer

Rings, bracelets and long necklaces can catch on straps and springs. Please remove them before class.

  • 24 hour cancellation

Cancel or move your booking at least 24 hours ahead to keep the class in your pack.

  • Arrive 5 minutes early

Especially for your first visit, so we can set up your reformer and talk through anything you need.

FAQ

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Reformer Foundations is designed for people who have never used a reformer before. You will learn how the machine works, how to set your springs and how to move with control before progressing to faster, more challenging classes.

What should I wear to a reformer class?

Comfortable, fitted clothing you can move in. Grip socks are mandatory for hygiene and safety on the carriage, and jewellery must be removed before class as it can catch on the straps and springs.

How many people are in a class?
